As a child, her favorite books were the Little House on the Prairie series.  Now, Ann can read a good book in one day! She collects old and antique books, and even owns an etiquette book printed in 1886, invaluable for when you want to know how to sneeze properly in public. (Well, if you opened a book printed in 1886 you'd probably sneeze too!)

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ann was encouraged by her creative writing teacher, Ms. Lutkus, in high school.  One of the class assignments was to write in a journal three times a week, and she has continued doing that to this day.

Throughout the journal writing, little poems, and short stories, Ann has always dreamed of writing  a book. Like every author who set out to be published by a certain date, she had no idea how to achieve her goal, but she learned. Eleven years ago, she was raising a newborn son and sometimes too busy to sleep, but she always found time to write, as genuine authors always do!

The "Farm Grandma" in this new book series is based on Ann's very own grandmother.  (She really did call her Farm Grandma!) She was fun, laughed a lot, had interesting stories to tell, and lessons to share.  What began as a short storybook for a birthday present to her Farm Grandma a little over two years ago, evolved into this heartwarming book series of a little girl and her grandmother.  The rest, as they say, is history.

As receiving the book as a gift, her Farm Grandma told Ann: "I hope all of your dreams come true."  With the release of her first book, “Farm Grandma and the Dancing Pitchfork,”  Ann says they have.
